This measure is designed to assess everyday creative disposition as a relatively stable personality tendency. The Creative Personality Scale (CPS) uses self-report ratings to capture typical openness to novel ideas and preference for nonroutine approaches in problem solving and self-expression.

It consists of 21 items and typically requires about 4 minutes to complete. Results may be used as a brief screening indicator of trait-like creative orientation to inform discussions in educational, counseling, or other applied settings.
