This measure evaluates perceived emotional intelligence competencies relevant to leadership and workplace functioning. The Manager Emotional Intelligence Assessment is intended to inform understanding of how a manager recognizes, regulates, and applies emotional information in interpersonal and performance contexts.
Developed by Ryback, D., it is a 60 items self-report questionnaire that typically takes about 11 minutes to complete. Items broadly address self-awareness, emotion regulation under stress, sensitivity to others’ affect, and the use of emotional information in communication and decision-making.
Results from the Manager Emotional Intelligence Assessment are generally used to support individual feedback, coaching, and professional development planning. Findings should be interpreted in context (e.g., role demands, response style, and other assessment data) and are not, by themselves, diagnostic.
