This self-report measure is designed to examine how an individual responds to change and adjusts to novel or shifting circumstances. The Adaptability Assessment provides a brief snapshot of perceived adaptive functioning and related emotional responses in everyday contexts. It consists of 25 items and typically takes about 5 minutes to complete.
Items ask respondents to endorse statements reflecting common reactions to transitions, uncertainty, and situational demands. Scores from the Adaptability Assessment may be used as a screening indicator of adjustment-related strengths and areas of difficulty, and should be interpreted within the broader context of clinical interview, history, and other assessment data.
