About This Assessment
Profile of Emotions in Relationships Test

Relationship Feelings Profile Test - Symptoms and Signs

This measure is designed to characterize the emotional tone a person experiences in relation to a specific significant other. The Relationship Feelings Profile is used to obtain a structured snapshot of feelings that are consciously recognized during contact or interaction.

The respondent is asked to consider their relationship with another person and endorse feelings that reflect their current experience. The Relationship Feelings Profile includes 44 items and typically takes about 9 minutes to complete.

Developed by Susan S. Hendrick and Clyde Hendrick, it may be used in clinical, counseling, or organizational contexts to support discussion of dominant emotions, underrepresented feelings, and areas of emotional strain or connection. Results are generally interpreted descriptively to inform case conceptualization and communication-focused intervention planning.
