This self-report measure assesses perceived partner phone-related interruptions during dyadic interactions. The Partner Phubbing Scale asks respondents to rate how often a romantic partner attends to a smartphone in situations where attention would typically be directed to the interaction.
It contains 9 items and typically takes about 2 minutes to complete. Results can support clinical or research screening of technology-related attentional disengagement in intimate relationships and may help guide discussion about digital boundaries and communication patterns.
The Partner Phubbing Scale is attributed to psytests.org (2024).
