Organizational culture can be difficult to infer from operational metrics alone. The Company Business Culture Assessment is a brief self-report questionnaire designed to characterize salient features of a company’s day-to-day culture.
The instrument (Gallagher, R.) consists of 21 items and typically takes about 4 minutes to complete. Items query perceptions of interpersonal interaction patterns, shared priorities, and values that may shape the workplace climate.
Results from the Company Business Culture Assessment are generally used to support organizational reflection and discussion, such as identifying perceived strengths, areas for improvement, and potential targets for culture change initiatives (e.g., during periods of transition or integration). Interpretation is typically best conducted in context, with attention to the respondent group, setting, and any complementary sources of information.
