This brief self-report measure evaluates how individuals relate to a valued activity, with emphasis on the quality of engagement. The Work Passion Scale is intended to differentiate more balanced, integrated involvement from more rigid, pressured involvement.
The instrument consists of 14 items and typically takes about 3 minutes to complete. Responses can be used to characterize patterns of motivation and involvement that may be relevant in contexts such as occupational assessment, coaching, or performance settings; interpretation should consider the respondent’s role, demands, and broader psychosocial context.
